  1. Hi all, I have set up a model that has an ESTRY culvert directly joining an ISIS river. The ESTRY channel is connected to ISIS by snapping the downstream node of the ESTRY channel to the ISIS 1d node, and the Conn_2d attribute is assigned 'X1DH'. Both ESTRY and ISIS have 1 second timesteps. However, I am getting the following messages in the TUFLOW output window: External 1D level interpolation outside times ************ 0.00000000 I notice that a similar post by John Heald (Jul 06 2013) also raises this query, and the source of the problem was using a mix of single and double precision for the ISIS/ESTRY models. I have checked that this is not the case, and have checked the 'Current Version (v3.5)' option for the ISIS Flow Engine Version under the Miscellany tab. I am using TUFLOW moel build 2012-05-AE-iSP-w32. Is there anything that I am missing? Any pointers would be very much appreciated... Regards, Laura
  2. Dear All, I have a 1d/2d ESTRY TUFLOW model with a run time of 40 hours (!). I have run a base model and asked it to write out a restart file at a specific time. I want to make a small change in the 2d domain to represent a proposed development, and then re-start the model at the specified time using the re-start file. This should prevent the need to run the first half of the model and therefore significantly reduce model run times. I have saved a copy of the tcf for the 'base' model and asked it to read in the restart file created in the 'base' run. I have specified the same start time as that of the restart file. I have saved both a trf and a erf file in the 'runs' folder in the model folder. The tcf then reads in a slightly amended tgc which simply reads in a zhape layer representing the proposed development. The model appears to run through the initial phases, until it gets to the stage copied below. I then get a 'Premature exit of Tuflow' and cannot seem to find a reason why. It never gets to the point at which it starts to simulate results. 'Domain_001: Initialising 2D Data (Stage 2)... Assigning 2D cell codes... Pre-processing any SA regions...   5. Hi, I have built a 1d HEC-RAS model of a bridge structure and have run various flows through the model in order to generate the afflux through the structure. I would like to generate a bg table of loss coefficents using the outputs from the HEC-RAS model which I will then use in an ESTRY model. I understand that to calculate the K values, I need to use the upstream and downstream water levels to determine the head loss. However, I am a little unsure as to what to do next....! Could anybody kindly point out the next step..... I usually use the Hydraulics of Bridge Waterways to calculate my loss coefficients, but it appears that this method is significantly under predicting the afflux at this 3-arch bridge.   6. Phil, I have tried the Dongle in all ports, and have checked that the letter assigned to the drive which is unique. The Dongle is seen in Windows Explorer as its own Drive Letter but not in CMC. The light flashes green when inserted and then red. I cant think of anything else.... Cheers, Laura
  7. Phil, It seems that the Dongle is not being detected. Also, the dongle is in the same drive as always, and worked the day before... I dont have admin rights to reassign the Drive letters. TUFLOW sales have sent me an invoice this morning for the TUFLOW Software Upgrades and Support annual renewal fee, but this shouldnt stop the dongle from working should it? The invoice says that I have until 31st July to pay.... Thanks,

  9. Dear all, After running TUFLOW successfully and on numerous occasions over the last couple of days, I have suddenly got the message 'TUFLOW Engine Not licensed or no local licences free'. I dont understand why, as the dongle is plugged in and there is no reason for this. Does anybodyhave any ideas?   10. Dear All, I have recently completed a linked ISIS TUFLOW model. There were instability issues at the 1d/2d link that caused the model to repeatedly crash mid-run. I resolved this by assigning a value of 0.25 in the 'a' attribute for the 2d_bc_IsisLink file. The manual explains that this attribute is used to add FLC values to all HX cels along the HX line. I understand that it specifies additional energy losses between 1d and 2d. However, can anybody tell me when it is most appropriate to use this, and what an appropriate value would be?
