An update to the 2017-09 TUFLOW Release (Build 2017-09-AC) is now available. This includes a critical bug fix that addresses an issue when running the new HPC solver with a combination of a direct rainfall boundary and material rainfall losses. All users of the TUFLOW 2017-09 release must upgrade to Build 2017-09-AC. As well as the bug fix above, minor enhancements and fixes are included. Please see the release notes for more information. We are pleased to announce that an update to the 2017-09 TUFLOW Release (Build 2017-09-AB) is now available. Due to the bug fixes below, all users of Build 2017-09-AA should update to this build. The release notes provide a complete description of the 2017-09-AB improvements. The most significant updates include: Bug fix for HPC scheme that occurred when a 2D cell was allocated more than two SA / RF boundaries. Changes to SX Storage Factor: Bug fix that occurred if more than 1 SX connection occurs on the same 2D cell and the SX connections are in different GIS layers Improved the start-up speed for large models / lots of SX connections. We are pleased to announce that the TUFLOW Release 2017-09 is now available. To download the release and view the release notes please use the links further below. The 2017-09 release includes some major new features and range of enhancements. The most significant of these are: New HPC solver (major rework of TUFLOW GPU). Changes include: Ability to run on CPU or GPU. New cell schematisation (to be consistent with Classic and use of cell side elevations and sampling). Enhanced 1st order and new 2nd order spatial schemes. Full 1D/2D linking using the same SX and HX methods as TUFLOW Classic, giving access to all 1D functionality. Significantly better scaling when running one simulation over multiple GPU devices. Inclusion of more TUFLOW Classic functionality (e.g. layered flow constrictions, SA Trigger boundaries, and additional outputs). Previous “GPU” solver available for legacy models. Improved stability and stability options for SX connections to large 1D structures for Classic and HPC. New software based licencing options. Numerous enhancements and new functionality in TUFLOW for both Classic and HPC solvers, including a range of new output options including new map output formats and data types, as well as plot output regions.
