  1. Has anyone used github to track model files? Given they are text files it seems it could be a good option for documentation and tracking file changes...

Hi Tuflow I have a Stormtide Inundation Model with no upstream inflows and a downstream boundary which applies a temporally varying water level using a 2d_bc polyline (HX type - linearly varying) + 1d_bc Nodes + 1d_Nwk_Nodes. There are three subtly different water level timeseries which are applied across the HX line (along the shoreline of a coastal estuary) I wish to set an initial water level (IWL) based on only ONE of the time series (contained within a .csv file) which are referenced from the bc_dbase. I note the current version of TUFLOW allows the user to use an automatic method for setting IWL which works really well if you only have one downstream timeseries. i.e. Set IWL == AUTO I was wondering, is there some way I can set one of my timeseries as a variable using the "Set Variable" command and then reference this to set the IWL? I could imagine the syntax might look something like below - where WL1 is the timeseries I wish to apply as my IWL Set Variable WL1 == ..\..\Storm_Tide.csv | WL1 Set IWL == WL1 Tuflow would then apply WL1 the same way as the AUTO option. Can I already do something like this? Would save me Lots of time when I have MANY scenarios!!!!!!!

  5. I have a 2d model that I want to produce several types of map output at different frequencies. I want all map output to be written to both XMDF and DAT files, but I only want depth maximums to be written to ASCII grid output. The code below is what I currently have, which seems to agree with the Tuflow Manual, however the model is producing ASC output for all specified timesteps, not only maximums. --- ! Define what results are to be output Map Output Format == XMDF ASC DAT Map Output Data Types == d v q h !d E F h q R t V W Z1 ZH ! Non-default output variables Store Maximums and Minimums == ON MAXIMUMS ONLY ! can save peak and minimum values (ON) or peak values only (ON MAXIMUMS ONLY) ASC Map Output Data Types == d ! exports depth grid only for ASC output (others can be exported manually from TUFLOW_TO_GIS) !----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ! Define times for writing results Start Map Output == 95 ! start map output time (hours) End Map Output == 130 ! end map output time (hours) Map Output Interval == 900 ! frequency the map output data is written to file (seconds) ASC Map Output Interval == 0 ! maximums only for ASC output Time Series Output Interval (s) == 900 ! frequency the timeseries data is written to file (seconds) Screen/Log Display Interval == 60 ! frequency with which output is displayed in the DOS window during a simulation (seconds) CSV Time == Hours --- Any ideas where I'm going wrong?   6. I have been utilising the TUFLOW override files to redirect model output to local hard drives. This works well for reading input files from network storage whilst large output data is written locally. However, I have had some issues using If Scenario and Else If Scenario commands within the override files (it appears that only the first If Scenario command is recognised). When referring to the manual, it states that "Nearly all .tcf commands can be placed within the override files with the exception of Read GIS and some other similar commands that involve processing of data layers". Is there a complete list of commands that are not supported or only partially supported?
  7. Hi all, Does anyone know of any sample tcf/trd files that list all commands avaliable within a specific build of tuflow? I am limited to using 2011-09 build by my IT department and would like to be able to see a list of all commands rather than browsing the manual to find syntax of the lesser used commands. Thanks for any help or advice Alec
