Set Code .tgc error

Recommended Posts

I am running a simulation and getting ERROR 2083 - Unrecognisable SET command.

This is the tgc file content:

Grid Size (N,M) == 5694, 3267
Origin == 730014.523205, 7073489.415904
Orientation Angle == 265.073783
Cell Size == 10.000000
Read RowCol Zpts == mi\2d_zpts_TUFLOW grid.xf8

Set IWL == 0.000000
Set SRF == 0.000000
Set Mat == 1
Set Code == 0

Read MI Code BC == mi\2d_bc_BC.mif

Read MI MAT == mi\2d_mat_materials.mif

I have read through the manual and can't find any problem with this file.

Please help.

Thanks

Hi O-Dogs,

Are you able to email through the log file (.tlf) to support@tuflow.com.  The .tgc looks ok, but certain commands some commands require a specific version of TUFLOW, for example "Set SRF == " was introduced in 2011-09-AE and will not be recognised if using an older version.

Regards

Phillip

Hi Phillip, thanks for the response.  I definitely think it is a version difference.  I have started the model on the exe version of TUFLOW that has come with SMS and it worked.

Hi Phil,

The version with SMS is 2012-05-AE-iDP-w64

The version i downloaded (and producing the error herewith) is 2010-10-AF-iDP-w64

Cheers

I think that explains the issue then! As mentioned the "Set SRF" command (and the Storage Reduction Factor) were only introduced in the 2011-09-AE version, this command will not be recognised by any builds prior to this.  If you need to run an older build you will need to remove or comment out this command (there may also be other changes).  However, unless there is a specific reason for using an older version, it is recommended that you use the latest release version.  The latest version is currently the 2012-05-AE version that is bundled with SMS.

Phil
