O-Dogs 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2015 Hi TUFLOWCan theRead Grid Zpts == be used with Geotiff files? Thanks - O-dogs
par 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2015 Hi,No, the currently supported formats for the Read Grid Zpts == command are ESRI ASCII grid (.asc or sometimes .txt) or binary float (.flt). Most GIS packages can export to these formats, for example:QGIS: http://wiki.tuflow.com/index.php?title=QGIS_Export_Raster_to_ascArcMap: http://wiki.tuflow.com/index.php?title=Arc_Export_Raster_to_fltMapInfo / Vertical Mapper: http://wiki.tuflow.com/index.php?title=VM_Export_to_ASCHowever, it is on our list to add additional formats! alecjtaylor 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2018 Hi all, Sorry to drag up an old post, but has any progress been made on the geotiff inclusion? Thanks Alec
Gordon Huang 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2019 Hi, I would second Alec and ask if there has been any update on the GeoTIFF inclusion? Given the increasing popularity of QGIS, which works best with GeoTIFF, it would be nice to avoid converting rasters for input into TUFLOW. Cheers, Gordon
Abhishek Gupta 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2020 Hi, Has there been any discussion on including this yet? The GeoTIFF has several advantages - no header file - low file size - compatible in arc, mapinfo and qgis - includes projection data Everyone is switching in the industry to use QGIS for TUFLOW modelling. Its time to support this raster format and make it even easier to set up and process TUFLOW models.
