be used with Geotiff files?

Hi,

No, the currently supported formats for the Read Grid Zpts == command are ESRI ASCII grid (.asc or sometimes .txt) or binary float (.flt).  Most GIS packages can export to these formats, for example:

MapInfo / Vertical Mapper: http://wiki.tuflow.com/index.php?title=VM_Export_to_ASC

However, it is on our list to add additional formats!

Hi, 

I would second Alec and ask if there has been any update on the GeoTIFF inclusion?

Given the increasing popularity of QGIS, which works best with GeoTIFF, it would be nice to avoid converting rasters for input into TUFLOW.

Has there been any discussion on including this yet? The GeoTIFF has several advantages

- no header file

- low file size

- compatible in arc, mapinfo and qgis

- includes projection data

Everyone is switching in the industry to use QGIS for TUFLOW modelling. Its time to support this raster format and make it even easier to set up and process TUFLOW models.
