jiwaszko 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2018 Hi, I'm trying to mass produce channel cross sections from my DEM using QGIS (v2.18.11). I've looked at this https://wiki.tuflow.com/index.php?title=QGIS_Extract_CrossSections which points me towards a QGIS plugin called "profile from line", however, this doesn't seem to be available through the QGIS plugin manager anymore. Does anybody know if this plugin has been renamed, or if there is another simple way to produce cross sections? Thanks in advance, Josh
Ellis Symons 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2018 Hi Josh, You're right, the Profile from Line plugin doesn't appear to be available anymore. As far as i know, the Profile Tool is the best option for producing cross sections, however as you probably are aware, is not so good for doing this en mass. If you have access to ArcGIS (using Stack Profile) or 12d (using Drape) these would probably be slightly more automated techniques. Thanks, Ellis
