Which version of Mapinfo Professional do you use?

Hi,

We are wanting to get some feedback from MapInfo and miTools users on the version of MapInfo Professional (MapInfo) they are using. To vote in the poll, please log-in to the TUFLOW Forum and vote using the available options.

The reason for the poll is to help assess backward compatibility requirements for the miTools and MapInfo. The miTools are written in MapBasic, which relies on the functionality within MapInfo to operate correctly. Currently, all but one of the miTools utilities are compatible with MapInfo version 7.0 or newer, with one utility requiring functionality first introduced in MapInfo 8.0. As time goes on, we are increasingly finding that to automate tasks in the miTools and to ensure compatibility with the newer Windows Operating Systems (eg Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit), we need to rely on the newer versions of MapInfo and MapBasic.

Hi Mick,

We've been using 8.5 (added to vote above) primarily for TUFLOW model preparation and would be unlikely to upgrade purely for miTools.
