Projection Error

Recommended Posts

I am getting this warning in my .tlf file at the very first stage when I am writing my zpoints. Any ideas what this might be?

! GEOGRAPHIC REFERENCE COMMANDS

MI Projection == CoordSys Earth Projection 8, 79, "m", -2, 49, 0.9996012717, 400000, -100000 Bounds (-7845061.1011, -15524202.1641) (8645061.1011, 4470074.53373)

MI Projection Check == ERROR

Hi,

That's not a warning in itself, it is simply letting you know what commands TUFLOW is applying which relate to the "GEOGRAPHIC REFERENCE". If you've specified a relevent command, it will be listed here, but also any assumed commands are listed here, so you know what TUFLOW is doing.

The fist of the lines, "MI Projection == CoordSys Earth Projection 8, 79, "m", -2, 49, 0.9996012717, 400000, -100000 Bounds (-7845061.1011, -15524202.1641) (8645061.1011, 4470074.53373)" should reflect the projection you've told TUFLOW you want to use; it's just echoing it back to you.

The second line then, is another command, this time one that TUFLOW uses by default, and you haven't overwritten it. It means that if the projection check finds different projections have been used, then it will stop with an error. You have the option to tell TUFLOW only to treat such an occurrence as a WARNING if you so wished. TUFLOW is just telling you which of those options it is running with. Looking through the .TLF you'll find many similar lines, which relate to other checks, and whether they result in a WARNING or ERROR.

I hope that makes enough sense for you!

PHA.
